An Israeli researcher has suggested that Palestine be converted into a series of Emirates, presumably on the model of the UAE. Whatever the im/practicalities of such a suggestion, coming from an Israeli academic and the fact that it is obviously trying to step away from a two-state solution, I imagine relegates this idea to the bin.
